Our Story

Lonny and Lori Adams have been involved in full-time ministry since their graduation from Ozark Bible Institute. They have traveled across many states reaching children in Kids' Crusades and Kids' Camps every year since 2006. They have served as youth pastors, children's leaders, and Christian school teachers. They both remember vividly when the Lord began to call them into Kids' Ministry. Both received kids' ministry as their first calling, and seek to make a difference in the kids and youth of this generation.
{C} Lonny grew up in a small town in east Texas, and gave his heart to the Lord at the age of seven. After many trips to the altar, being led by the hand of his mother, he remembers the day he finally took her hand, went to the altar, and chose to pray to accept Jesus into his heart. God did something for him that day that he could not have done on his own. His testimony since that day is the same; God has again and again moved in his life, doing things for him that he could not do for himself.

His first involvement in kids' ministry was at the age of thirteen when he began helping in the puppet ministry at his home church. He was baptized in the Holy Ghost at Camp Peniel at age 15, and began to sense God's leading into the ministry. In his teen years, he was blessed with the opportunity to be involved in kids ministry both in the United States, and on short term missions trips in Mexico. At OBI, God confirmed His calling on Lonny's life to minister to children and youth. While there, he met his beautiful wife Lori. They fell in love and were married on November 11, 2006.

Lori shares Lonny's burden for kids. For as long as she can remember, she has had a desire to do a work for the Lord. She grew up in Western Kentucky, and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at Sunset Hill youth camp at the age of 12, an experience that changed her life forever. She felt God's leading to Ozark Bible Institute, unaware of all that the Lord had planned for her.

Her freshmen year of college, she remembers sitting in the chapel when the Lord specifically called her to children's ministry. Throughout her time at OBI, she was able to walk to the spot where she had prayed that day - where God had fortified her calling. The Lord gave her a burden to reach the lives of kids and youth from that day. She used her time at OBI to get as involved as possible in children's ministry. Traveling in a ministry group and helping in a nearby church helped prepare her for God's calling. By the time Lonny & Lori were engaged she had already traveled, pursuing kids' ministry. She is so thankful to be called into the ministry and to be the "help meet" to her husband in a ministry that is carved to fit them.

Lonny and Lori make their home in Sherman, TX, where they pastor First Assembly of God. They are still available on a limited schedule to travel. They now focus on children's workshops, training classes for kids and youth ministry, and camps. They also may be available for special one day outreaches.
